Frequently we receive requests for Pastoral Reference Letters from people who are seeking employment within the Catholic school system. Because of the seriousness of these requests, and the rightful expectations of both the parents and the Church, those planning to teach in our Catholic schools should be believers who are genuinely trying to practice and live their faith.


Therefore, BEFORE requesting a Pastoral Reference, please ensure the following, then a letter will be considered.


  • You are a registered member and worshiping at Holy Redeemer for at least a year.
  • You participate in a parish ministry.

  • You financially support the work and mission of the Church.

  • You live a life of Christian discipleship and contribute to the mission of the Church with your gifts and talents.
