A call to action!
Be a voice for the voiceless! Beseech Heaven for an end to abortion through participation in:
- Prayer
- Fasting
- A peaceful all-day vigil at the SW corner of Bank and Queen Streets, outside the bubble zone near the abortion facility.
- Community outreach
Holy Redeemer’s Vigil Day: Thursday October 8 from 7AM – 5PM
Come and witness what we believe: Human life is sacred and everyone has a right to life.
The babies and parents need us and the souls of the little aborted ones are counting on us.
This week we are called to pray and fast for parents dealing with unplanned or crisis pregnancies and to actively promote assistance and support for them:
Will I respond to the call to pray and fast for those dealing with unplanned or crisis pregnancies that they will be inspired to turn and surrender to God in their needs and will I make a point of sharing with others the need for ongoing assistance for them?
Life Chain
Life Chain is an opportunity to share positive pro-life messages by holding signs and praying silently near high visibility traffic intersections.
There are over 375 Life Chain locations across Canada.
Our two locations are:
- at the intersection of Eagleson and Hazeldean with Father Paul;
- and at our family friendly location in front of the church with Father Ambrose.

Pro-Life CLC Christmas Cake Sales
First two weekends in December 2026
Sales will be in the church entrance at Sat/Sun weekend Masses on December 7/8 and December 14/15. Choose from Christmas cakes, specialty food items, Christmas cards and Advent calendars. Support Campaign Life Coalition, the Canadian pro-life hub for major events and significant initiatives to defend the sanctity of human life.
Playpen Fundraiser for Birthright Ottawa
January 28 – February 9, 2027
Provide encouragement for moms experiencing stressful or unplanned pregnancies by donating useful items for infants and babies or donate financially to support Birthright of Ottawa.
