Cursillo is a Lay movement within the Church. The purpose of the Movement is to make Christian community possible in neighbourhoods, parishes, work situations and other places where people live the greater part of their lives. It makes possible for anyone in the world to live a Christian life in a natural way. Over the last 50 years, over 250 Parishioners from Holy Redeemer have attended a Cursillo weekend. The Ottawa Challenge Movement, which is part of the Cursillo movement, has had many of our youth (aged 16-25) attend weekends as well. A monthly Ultreya is held on the last Monday of every month in the church hall beginning at 7:30 p.m. and running about an hour long. Cursillo and Challenge meet at the Ultreya to support each other in their walk with Christ.
