September 27, 2020 - Fr. Paul is presented with the CWL flag to be displayed at Holy Redeemer Parish by outgoing CWL Past President Sharon Sudsbear and newly appointed President, Marie Fortier.

The Catholic Women’s League at Holy Redeemer Parish held its formation meeting in September, 2018. At our formation meeting we had 29 members join the CWL and pay their membership dues. These members are known as the Chartered Members. Currently we have 31 members and we are always opened to have new members join our council.

The Catholic Women’s League Mission Statement is: “how we are rooted in gospel values, calling its members to holiness through the service to the people of God”.

The objectives of the League shall be to unite Catholic women of Canada:

•    To achieve individual and collective spiritual development
•    To promote the teachings of the Catholic church
•    To exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life
•    To protect the sanctity of life
•    To enhance the role of women in church and society
•    To recognize the human dignity of all people everywhere
•    To uphold and defend Christian education and values in the modern world
•    To contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony
